Every pet owner hates to see their pet suffer or feel discomfort.
Allergies in dogs are more common than many people think, with food allergies being particularly common.
Also, one must not forget about inhalant and environmental allergens, including mold and pollen.
Ignoring allergy symptoms is not an option if you care about your dog's health.
What are the signs of allergy?
These are the signs.
- Constant scratching. The itching of the skin can range from mild to severe, causing the dog to scratch non-stop.
- Ear infections: The infection may not clear up completely, which can lead to the destruction of the healthy skin barrier in the ears.
- Chronic diarrhea. The gastrointestinal tract can be severely damaged by improper nutrition, which causes allergic reactions - vomiting, diarrhea, gases, and so on.
- Red eyes. If both eyes are affected, it could be an allergy.
- Sneezing and runny nose. If these symptoms are observed too often, you should contact your veterinarian.
