These Smells All Cats Hate: Use Them to Break Your Pet's Bad Habits

Among the many smells, there are some that no cat in the world can stand.

Why does an animal owner need this knowledge? It's simple - with the help of scents that your purr-cat hates, you can, for example, wean it off using the rug in the hallway instead of a litter box.

So, the first place is deservedly taken by citrus fruits – lemon, lime, orange and grapefruit.

"Number Tu" - lavender, especially mixed with eucalyptus.

An important point: the plants themselves are slightly toxic to cats, so you can use their scents, but it is better not to bring pots of lavender and eucalyptus into the house.

Another "killer" combination is rosemary and thyme. Here everything is exactly the opposite - the plants are considered harmless to cats, unlike essential oils with these smells.

If highly concentrated ethers enter an animal's body, they can cause digestive upset and discomfort.

Pepper rounds out the "magnificent four". However, caution is advised here too: since pepper contains capsaicin, which can release potentially toxic volatile organic compounds, it will be possible to discourage the cat from the forbidden zone, but it may harm its health.
