Why does a cat hit a person with its paw: it turns out that this is not always a bad sign

Many cat owners notice that their pets periodically hit them on the arm or leg with their paw.

Some people perceive such an action as a kind of attack from the animal.

The owner may come to the conclusion that the furry four-legged friend is angry or offended at him for some reason, and that is why he is “attacking”.

However, in reality, the kitten may experience opposite emotions.

What does a paw strike mean?

You need to find out if the cat has released its claws. If so, the animal is really unhappy about something. Perhaps the cat was picked up incorrectly.

But if the claws are hidden, then the fluffy one, on the contrary, demonstrates a playful mood.

A cat “hits” a person with a soft paw if it wants to play with its owner.

Perhaps the pet just wants affection and is trying to get the person to pet it.

It is possible that the cat is bored and wants attention.

In any case, a paw with hidden claws should not be perceived negatively. A cat that starts "hitting" a hand or leg does not want to attack a person at all.
