If you are just thinking about buying an aquarium fish, there are many questions to decide - from what kind of pet you want to where it will live.
We will talk about aquariums today. So, at first glance it may seem that round aquariums have solid advantages: they look beautiful, and it is very convenient to watch a silent pet swimming in such a bowl.
However, in reality, such designs have many more disadvantages. Let's list the main disadvantages of round aquariums.
1. Limited space
Round aquariums usually have a smaller volume than rectangular aquariums of the same size, which means that the fish will have to exist in a very small space.
2. No space for devices
If there is not enough space even for fish in such an aquarium, what can we say about devices - in a round aquarium it is simply impossible to install additional equipment, for example, a vital heater or filter.
3. Lack of oxygen
It is a mistake to think that fish only need water to live a full life – they also need oxygen, which comes through the upper layers of water that come into contact with air.
And, as is known, the surface area in a round aquarium is smaller than in rectangular structures.
4. Distorted view
A round aquarium can distort the image, which can cause stress to its inhabitants.
This list can be continued, but we believe that the listed number of disadvantages of a round aquarium is enough to make you abandon it.
