Many cats are known to have a habit of waking their owners up at 5am or even earlier.
We'll tell you why our pets do this and how to wean them off it.
Why do cats wake up their owners?
As a rule, cats wake up their owners at the crack of dawn because they want to eat. A cat can also wake up its owner simply out of boredom.
It is very difficult to wean your pet off this, since cats are crepuscular animals, with periods of activity early in the morning and in the evening.
To avoid waking up your cat at 5am, leave him food overnight or buy an automatic feeder. You should also leave your pet enough water at night.
Try not to disrupt the feeding and sleep schedule, play with the cat more during the day so that he gets tired.
Do not react to your pet's attempts to wake you up. The cat must understand that its actions do not lead to the desired result.
