Perhaps only children have to be reminded of the responsibility that falls on the shoulders of a person who decides to have a pet.
But experts say some adults could do with some reflection, too. Here are a few situations in which people won't be exemplary owners.
First of all, this concerns the financial component, as well as the physical and moral qualities of the personality of the future cat or dog lover.
1. It is better to think several times or immediately refuse to buy a pet if the person suffers from mental illness. It is possible that these people may show aggression towards their smaller brothers.
The same applies to simply nervous and overly emotional people. They are unlikely to have the patience to properly care for a pet.
It will also be impossible for pets to live in the home of perfectionists obsessed with cleanliness and tidying.
And it would be completely unnecessary to remind about allergies to animal hair or saliva.
2. Another unfortunate example is the decision to acquire a pet by a person who is often completely immersed in work.
3. The last bad example is to give an animal as a gift. Very soon the gift can turn into a burden and instead of joy, gray everyday life will begin.
The worst thing in such a situation is to guess wrong with the future four-legged friend. And if you give the animal to a child, he or she may treat it as a toy.
