Many cats enjoy rolling around in the grass while walking, and even rub their heads on the ground.
We'll tell you why cats do this and whether you should worry.
Why do cats rub against the ground?
A cat may rub itself against the ground for a variety of reasons: to mark territory, for hygiene purposes, to cool down, or just for fun.
Scientists also believe that in this way cats improve digestion.
By rolling on the ground, the cat collects beneficial bacteria and then licks them off its fur, thereby enriching its intestinal flora.
If a cat rubs itself against the ground frequently and intensely, this is a cause for concern: most likely, the pet is bothered by parasites.
