Even water bottles that are designed to be reusable should be replaced from time to time.

Of course, if you see mold on the inside of a water bottle, you'll probably throw it in the trash right away.

But there are other signs - not so obvious, but which also signal that the bottle needs to be replaced.

Defects on the outside do not mean anything - dents and scratches do not prevent the item from fulfilling its intended functions.

But there should be no cracks or scratches inside the bottle – bacteria usually accumulate in such places and begin to multiply at a monstrous rate.

You should consider buying a new bottle if you notice that the water has changed in taste or smell.

This may indicate that the material from which the container is made has begun to deteriorate, and chemicals, and along with them bacteria, have begun to enter the liquid.

An alarming sign is a coating inside the bottle.

Corrosion can even affect products made of stainless steel, not to mention limescale, which is a real threat to any home.

If the stains cannot be removed, your bottle has had its day and is ready to retire.

Finally, the most obvious signal is the manufacturer’s own recommendations.

Carefully examine the item in your hands: it is quite possible that you will find information about its expiration date here.
