To wrap a nice present for a loved one, it is not at all necessary to go to the store in search of suitable wrapping.
An alternative to wrapping paper would be materials that you already have at home and keep in your craft box or utility cabinet.
Old wallpaper
Gifts can be wrapped in either paper wallpaper left over from renovations or self-adhesive wallpaper – the main thing is not to peel off the backing so as not to spoil the gift itself.
Newspaper
No extra wallpaper? No problem – you probably have some newspaper lying around. If you think this design looks too simple, try to fix it with decorative embellishments: cut-out snowflakes, hand-drawn letters that should be cut out and glued to the packaging, etc.
Scarf (fabric)
Gifts can also be wrapped in fabric, such as a silk scarf, shawl or kitchen towel. To secure the piece, use decorative ribbon, twine or tie a knot at the ends of the fabric.
