Human self-esteem can be called the foundation of a happy life without a twinge of conscience.

It is important to realize that the attention and care of others cannot replace self-love. For this reason, we decided to tell you what you need to do to increase your self-esteem.

Monitor negative thoughts

If you have never done this before, try to analyze the thoughts that automatically appear in your head throughout the day. Pay attention to the moments when you do not value yourself, scold yourself, do not consider your achievements. Your task is to tell yourself "Stop!", calm down and reformulate the thought based on the new emotional state.

Take care of your health

Basic ways of taking care of yourself include proper nutrition, adequate sleep, rest, etc. Try to find activities that will help you restore your physical and psycho-emotional resources - they have a positive effect on your mood, and therefore on your attitude towards yourself.

Choose yourself

You should be your own priority. If you find it hard or just don't want to do something, say no to the request. We understand that it can be difficult to refuse right away, so you can take a break to think about it. Even if you agreed, it doesn't mean you can't refuse.

Notice your achievements

Write down everything you managed to do during the day in a success diary – even the most insignificant achievements like cooking dinner or completing work tasks can be here. From the achievements, choose those that, in your opinion, deserve encouragement – please yourself and buy yourself gifts for them.

Set personal boundaries

Develop skills of confident refusal, do not allow yourself to be offended, be decisive in your choice and do not seek to prove the "correctness" of your actions. But avoid humiliating others, insults and attempts to assert yourself at the expense of others, as this indicates your insecurity and inner weakness.
