Every person has had to defend their position, idea, project or beliefs. It does not always end well.
But why let the dialogue reach a heated argument if you can first try to win over your interlocutor and then suggest discussing the main issue?
If you don't have the experience to negotiate in this manner, use psychological tricks.
How to position your interlocutor
1. When listening to your interlocutor, nod your head in agreement, thereby sharing the position of your interlocutor.
2. When speaking, do not use the pronoun "I". Instead, use "we", and there will be no opponents of your idea.
3. Present your idea as a joint effort. People like to feel like they are contributing to something meaningful.
4. Ask your listeners to ask clarifying questions.
5. If your proposal is taken critically, be sure to clarify the reason and insist on an answer. The technique works without fail.
These tricks do not promise complete superiority over the interlocutor, but they will allow you to convey key points to the listeners and even gain some advantages.
