I would like to ask this question to the person who invented etiquette, but for obvious reasons it is impossible to do so.

However, no one has yet thought of repealing the rules introduced in ancient times. But that is not the only reason why women should not ask questions about age.

Unwritten Rule

At all times, the main criterion of comfort for a person was considered to be the attitude of other people towards him.

In this regard, nothing has changed and it is unlikely that anything will change in the foreseeable future.

In the end, the tactlessness of the age question can be explained by the negative attitude of the ladies themselves. But then another question arises – why?

Why don't women talk about age?

In society, this is considered bad form. A woman can avoid answering this question without much maneuvering, just as if she were asked how much she weighs or whether she is married.

From a rational point of view, it is believed that one has to hide one's age in order to avoid hearing barbs or caustic remarks, as well as to avoid answering other unpleasant questions.

Perhaps this is why a woman’s age has always remained a secret – due to maintaining a normal attitude towards the interlocutor.

Is everything so bad?

In the modern world, it is not only age that is important. More often, common interests, comfort in relationships, character and other personal qualities are put at the forefront.

And these indicators only get better with age.
