The secret of a long-lived man lies in two things.

Probably, every person at least once dreamed of living a long and happy life.

Briton John Gudgeon believes he reached the century mark thanks to two simple secrets.

The man was born in 1923 and fought in World War II. John was a tank driver, fought in a number of major battles, but even after a tough fight he refused to smoke.

The soldiers were supplied with tobacco, but Gudgeon never smoked a single cigarette. John exchanged cigarettes for trophies and a free haircut. That's how he got his hands on a watch from a German staff car, which he still keeps.

The Briton admitted that he is fascinated by modern technology, Rugby Observer reports. He was especially surprised by smartphones.
