Recently, plans to change the movement of ground public transport in the Belarusian capital became known.

Adjustments will be made to some routes as soon as new metro stations open.

The Belta agency reported this with reference to representatives of the Minsk mayor’s office.

According to the director of the enterprise "Stolichny Transport and Communications" Yuri Supranovich, with the opening of the section of the 3rd metro line to the station "Slutsky Gostinets" the movement of public transport will be adjusted.

He said that options for changing the route of several existing routes are currently under consideration.

The director also did not rule out adjusting service intervals and extending some routes to new metro stations.

At present, we recall, the third branch of the Minsk underground – the Zelenoluzhskaya line – includes 4 stations.

These are: "Kovalskaya Sloboda", "Vokzalnaya", "Frantishka Bogushevich Square" and "Yubileinaya Square".
This year, it is planned to open three more stations: Aerodromnaya, Nemorshansky Sad and Slutsky Gostinets.

In addition, the Slutskoye electric depot is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2024.

According to the director of the Minsk metro, Vladimir Sotnikov, about 15,000 people use the Zelenoluzhskaya metro line every day.

It is expected that with the opening of new stations, the figure will increase significantly.
