Fruits have become cheaper in Minsk, but vegetables have become more expensive

In the last month of autumn there were price changes in Minsk. Fruits became cheaper. But vegetables became more expensive.

In addition, the cost of some non-food goods and services has decreased.

Overall, food prices in the capital increased by half a percent in November, and by 6.6% over the year (by November 2023).

This is evidenced by data published by the Main Statistical Office of Minsk.

The greatest price increase in November (compared to October) among food products was shown by vegetables – plus 8.6%.

Vegetable oil prices increased by 3.4%, and coffee prices increased by two and a half percent.

Fruits, on the contrary, became cheaper – their cost decreased by 3.7%.

Non-food products dropped in price by 0.2% compared to October, but increased in price by 4.1% compared to November last year.

The most expensive items in November were synthetic detergents (-2.4%), refrigerators (-2.2%), and footwear (-0.4%).

Printed publications became more expensive – plus 1.9%.

Compared with October, November prices for services decreased by 0.3%, but compared with November 2023, they increased by 5.8%.

The largest price drop occurred in tourism services (-14.5%) and international railway transport services (-1.4%).

Taxi services (+14%) and cultural services (+1.8%) have become more expensive.
