The Belarusian capital is preparing for the New Year and Christmas holidays.
Local residents and guests of the country's main city are promised a New Year's fairy tale with a Venetian carousel.

And on December 21 and 22, a New Year's fair will be held at the "Best Street" site.
Among the most interesting features of the celebrations in Minsk are a huge New Year tree and a real Venetian carousel.
Residents of Minsk and guests of the capital were promised that riding the carousel would be free.
They also informed that citizens will be delighted by the residence of Father Frost, New Year's mail and a Christmas market with free gift wrapping.
Those interested are also invited to visit the Christmas tree market, where they can choose a live spruce for their home and receive recommendations on tree care.
And the outdoor cinema will offer New Year's films in a cozy atmosphere.
The organizers report that, given the weather conditions, it was decided to hold part of the winter festival indoors.
The festival will be available on December 21 and 22 from noon to ten o'clock in the evening.
