Foreign scientists have come to the conclusion that passionate love and sensual relationships do not protect against infidelity, the publication Deviant Behavior shares scientific data.
Research by scientists
The large-scale scientific work consisted of a survey of almost 2,000 people.
One of the items in the questionnaire was an evaluation question: how passionate does the respondent think the relationship with his/her partner is?
Along with this, affection, emotional connection between spouses, and commitment to the relationship were studied.
What was found out?
It turned out that spouses who value their relationship were 78% less likely to commit betrayal than those for whom the relationship was of lesser value.
The analysis showed that no matter how much the other half pleased their chosen one, the relationship did not become stronger.
That is, the decision to have an affair is an individual one. To make it, a person must dull the feeling of guilt towards their partner.
At the same time, sexual life and the presence of a deep emotional connection with a partner cannot prevent infidelity.
In short, loving and satisfying your partner's needs does not guarantee that he or she will remain faithful, and the decision to cheat is deeply personal.
