Scientists have come to the conclusion that family life protects against serious trouble. Bachelors themselves do not suspect that they knowingly expose themselves to the risk of facing depression.
For married people this problem is almost not a problem.
The work was carried out in several countries on different continents at once.
The data on family members from the USA, China, Great Britain, Korea and other countries were studied. The lifestyle of more than 540 million people was studied.
The results of the work were published in the scientific journal Nature Human Behaviour. It has been proven that family ties protect against the risk of developing depression.
What was found out?
An analysis of the data obtained allowed the scientists to conclude that bachelors complained more often of symptoms of depression than family people.
It was also possible to find out that the population of Western countries encountered this unpleasant condition more often than residents of the eastern regions.
It turned out that symptoms developed more often in unmarried men than in unmarried women.
Education also contributes to the development of the disease. The higher its level, the greater the chances of encountering symptoms.
Alcohol consumption and smoking also contribute to the development of depression.
To sum it up, we can say that smoking and drinking bachelors with higher education have every chance of one day getting an appointment with a specialist with signs of a depressive state.
