Is Love Blind? Why Meat Eaters Have a Better Chance of Finding a Mate Than Vegetarians

It has recently been discovered that meat eaters are more successful in finding their “other half” than vegetarians.

Why exactly does this happen? Scientists tried to find the answer.

They conducted a study involving 404 subjects aged between 18 and 82 years.

Citizens were asked to imagine themselves as users of a dating app and evaluate the profiles of potential partners.

There were 4 types of profiles. Three of them were vegetarian (reasons - ethical, ecological principles and for health reasons).

The fourth type of profile is the absence of any mention of food.

After viewing each profile, citizens were asked about their attitude towards the person, how masculine or feminine they considered him, and to what extent they would be willing to date such a person.

The results are as follows: the least attractive people for dates are vegetarians.

The most attractive are those whose profiles do not mention food.

Participants perceived the latter category of people as more masculine or more feminine, and therefore more attractive for relationships.

By the way, among vegetarians, the least attractive for romantic dates were those who became such for health reasons.

Scientists suggest that the choice of partners of the experiment participants is determined primarily by the desire to meet like-minded people.

Interestingly, previous research has shown that vegetarians want to date other vegetarians.
