It is no secret that if a couple thinks about a future pregnancy in advance, their chances of successfully conceiving, carrying and giving birth to a healthy baby increase significantly.
So what should future parents do, and what, on the contrary, should they give up?
First, try to eliminate smoking and alcohol from your life (beer is no exception). All these factors can negatively affect the development of the fetus and cause pathologies in the child.
Secondly, make it a goal to reduce your stress levels and establish a sleep and rest routine.
Try to go to bed no later than 11:00 PM and sleep at least 7.5 hours. Avoid using your phone, TV, or computer an hour before bed.
Thirdly, now is the time to take up sports.
Moderate physical activity of at least 150 minutes per week is recommended. Avoid high-impact, contact sports, scuba diving, and mountain hiking. Instead, choose outdoor walks, yoga, dancing, and swimming.
And fourthly, maintain occupational hygiene. If your job involves a sedentary lifestyle, do a warm-up every 1.5 hours. Don't forget to do eye exercises every 20 minutes of working at the computer: look into the distance at a distance of 6 meters for 20 seconds - even such seemingly small things are important for planning a successful pregnancy.
