A serious traffic accident occurred in the city of Grodno on Tuesday evening, December 10.
Unfortunately, a nine-year-old child was injured in the accident and was hospitalized.
The press service of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate reported the incident on its official Telegram channel.
According to the data released by the department, the accident took place on December 10 at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Pobeda Street.
There, a Toyota car driven by a 39-year-old woman hit a nine-year-old boy.
At that moment, the child was crossing the roadway at an unregulated pedestrian crossing from left to right in the direction of the car’s movement.
As a result of the collision, the young resident of the regional center received injuries of varying degrees of severity.
The injured child was taken to one of the city's medical institutions.
An investigation is underway into the incident, and law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the accident, the press service summed up.
