On Friday, September 20, a fire broke out in one of the residential buildings in Gomel.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations employees immediately went to the scene of the incident.
They put out the fire and rescued the woman.

Details of what happened in Gomel
Rescuers were informed about the fire on Portovaya Street in the regional center yesterday at 21:31.
It turned out that the balcony on the second floor of a five-story building was on fire.
At the moment the fire started, the owner and her husband were in the apartment.
They left the living space on their own, even before the rescuers arrived.
The man and woman left the apartment door open. The result was dense smoke in the stairwell.
In such conditions, the Emergencies Ministry employees saved a woman who lived in an apartment on the fourth floor. The rescuers evacuated the citizen using a mask for rescued people.
The woman did not need help from the ambulance workers. But the husband of the owner of the apartment where the fire occurred contacted the doctors.
The man was diagnosed with smoke inhalation and was sent to a healthcare facility.
The fire was extinguished. The fire destroyed things on the balcony and smoked the walls in the rooms.
At the moment, experts are investigating the cause of the fire. It is possible that the fire broke out due to careless handling of fire while smoking.
