How a Baranovichi resident lost his iPhone
A resident of Baranovichi met a girl online. After some time, the online acquaintance told him that she had lost her iPhone and asked the guy to help her find it.
The young man was required to log out of his account and enter the girl's details.
After this, other people contacted the guy and began demanding money to unlock the iPhone.
The young man did not translate anything and contacted the police.
As explained by the cybercrime department of the Baranovichi City Department of Internal Affairs, even if the guy had transferred the money, his iPhone would not have been restored.
The scammers would most likely stop communicating after the first money transfer.

It is noted that since the beginning of the year, six such cases have already occurred in Baranovichi.
