A resident of Mogilev took part in a lottery on a social network and lost her savings.
The woman followed the link, after which money was debited from her card, the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee reported on Telegram.
How a Mogilev resident lost her savings
A 34-year-old woman who became a victim of fraud contacted the Mogilev police.
It was established that the victim was deceived by a 19-year-old resident of Bobruisk. The guy created accounts on the social network, where he offered everyone to take part in a drawing, promising prizes.
To receive the winnings, you had to follow the advertising link and enter your card details or transfer a deposit.
The Mogilev resident did just that and lost her savings on the card, the police department reported.
The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against the organizer of the “lottery”.
The police remind you: do not follow unfamiliar links or enter card details on unknown websites.
