Birds caused a stir on the Latvian-Belarusian border. Because of them, Riga scrambled NATO fighters.
Initially, the military identified the flock of birds flying near the border as an “unidentified target.”
Fighters from the North Atlantic Alliance were dispatched to intercept it, TASS reports , citing the portal of Latvia’s national radio and television.
According to this source, an unidentified flying object was recorded near the Belarusian border.
The UFO, according to the information provided, did not just fly nearby, it crossed the borders of the Baltic state.
In order to deal with the problem that had arisen, NATO patrol mission fighters were sent into the sky from a base located in the city of Lielvarde.
The pilots did not notice any suspicious objects. And the UFO, as they found out, was a flock of birds.
The North Atlantic Alliance's aircraft returned to base.
