South Korea's parliament has passed a resolution calling for the immediate arrest of the country's president, Yun Seok-yul.
In addition, the document contains a demand for the arrest of other high-ranking officials involved in the introduction of martial law.
The event was reported by MIA "Russia Today" with reference to the Yonhap agency.
The latter reports that 191 deputies voted for the resolution (a total of 288 elected representatives were present).
94 parliamentarians voted against the document, and three decided to abstain.
It is also noted that the resolution calls for the arrest of eight key “figures in the incident.”
During the presentation of the document in parliament, First Vice Chairman of the Democratic United Party faction Park Sung-joon made an important statement.
According to him, by introducing martial law, the head of state was trying to change the constitutional order by force.
He added that Yun Seok-yeol planned to overthrow the National Assembly or create conditions under which the parliament would be unable to exercise its constitutional powers.
