This Wednesday, September 18, two trains collided in the capital of the Czech Republic. According to preliminary data, 10 to 15 people were injured as a result.
The incident occurred in the morning near the Prague-Libeň station. There, a passenger train collided with a locomotive.
The incident was reported by MIA "Russia Today" with reference to local media, which, in turn, referred to the ambulance service.
According to doctors, according to initial information, 10 to 15 people received injuries of varying severity, the publications write.
It is also reported that in addition to ambulance personnel, rescuers and police officers were working at the scene of the accident.
One of the streets in the area was closed in both directions. The injured passengers were evacuated by a special train.
Prague Fire Department spokesman Vojtech Sosna clarified: evacuation is being carried out using special baskets and platforms from the bridge.
A little later, law enforcement officials reported that about 18 people were injured in the accident, most of them with abrasions and bruises.
According to Prague Rescue Service spokeswoman Jana Poštová, the medical operations centre has developed a plan to treat the injuries.
The incident is being investigated by criminal investigators together with representatives of the railway inspection.
