Serbia will abandon plans to join the European Union if the condition is participation in a conflict with Russia and China.

This was stated by Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin in an interview with the Vechernie Novosti newspaper.

What Vulin said about Serbia's integration into the European Union

Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister said that the country is on the path to EU integration, but the speed of this process does not depend on it.

He noted that Serbia would refuse EU membership if one of the conditions was recognition of Kosovo's independence, participation in the conflict with Russia and China, or the legalization of same-sex marriages.

So far, we have not been told this directly, noted the deputy head of the Serbian government.

According to him, Belgrade should adhere to military neutrality and reforms that are in its interests.

And try to strengthen Serbia for the times to come, ” Vulin added.

He previously stated that Brussels' threats, blackmail and selective approach to fulfilling its obligations to Serbia could reorient it towards joining BRICS.
