Unfortunately, houseplants often wither and there is nothing left to do but throw them away.

Why do they die? In most cases, from excessive care of the owners, namely: from excessive watering.

In other words, wanting the best, we simply overwater the poor plants.

How to avoid such trouble was suggested by the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .

With this method you can extend the life of your house plant for as long as possible.

All you need to do is water the flora using ice cubes.

Once a week, place 2 large ice cubes or several small ones at the base of the plant.

This way you minimize the risk of overflow.

In addition, the gradual nature of the watering process is ensured: as the ice melts, it will gradually moisten the soil and, accordingly, the roots of the plants.

It turns out that you automatically give your green pet exactly the level of moisture it needs.

And if you water frequently, you can over-moisten the soil, which can lead to moisture accumulating at the bottom of the pot.

That is, in this case, the roots are deprived of the opportunity to feed normally and, accordingly, to exist.
