Just when the owner is happy that her favorite orchid is about to bloom, something unexpected can happen.
For completely unknown reasons, the plant's buds and buds will begin to dry out.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", a scientist, agronomist and landscape designer, explained why the orchid is wilting.
Perhaps the owner chose an unfortunate place for the plant. But there may be more reasons.
Why does the orchid wither?
1. It is quite possible that the plant has been attacked by pests or has become ill. The reason for this may be excess moisture due to spraying and watering.
The opposite may also be true. Lack of water will result in the plant's roots becoming covered with a silvery coating, and the leaves and buds will begin to wilt.
2. If the orchid is forming buds, then it should be left alone for this time. Do not move, do not rearrange, and especially do not think of changing the substrate.
3. Perhaps the hostess placed a basket of fruits nearby that emit ethylene.
4. An unfortunate location can cause a lack of sunlight. Orchids do not like shade. This is most often the reason why the buds dry out.
5. The next reason is a draft or dry air. The tropical plant does not like the cold and needs a warm and humid climate. Therefore, keep it away from heating devices.
