The calendar winter will begin in just a couple of weeks.

Many summer residents have already completed preparing their country plots and the plants growing there for the cold season.

But some of these people probably forgot to do one important November procedure.

We are talking about getting rid of some unnecessary things from the area.

An expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh listed what needs to be cleaned up at the dacha before the beginning of December.

Fallen leaves

There is a widespread belief that the remaining leaf blades on the soil should be left as they are a good mulching material.

Perhaps this layer will actually protect the root systems of flora representatives from low temperatures.

However, fallen leaves also pose a danger.

So, it is possible that the plates are affected by serious illnesses.

In addition, pests can hide under the leaves.

Therefore, it is better not to take risks and remove all leaf blades before the end of November.

Cut branches

These shoots of garden crops need to be removed if they contain disease or serious damage.

Do not leave “sick” branches on the ground cover in late autumn.

Vegetable tops

In November, it is necessary to remove the leaves of vegetable crops remaining on the ground.

They, like fallen leaf blades, can become a “shelter” for slugs and dangerous insects.

Weeds

At the end of the summer season, you need to weed the beds.

If you don’t do this, the weeds will definitely make themselves known next spring.

Fallen fruit

Fallen fruits from apple and pear trees should not be left behind.

Fallen fruit can attract pests and cause the spread of diseases dangerous to plants.
