The specialist listed crops that will “feel good” in the place where potatoes grew last year.
Beet
Beets grow well in place of the nightshade family representative.
Diseases typical for potatoes are not dangerous for brown root crops.
Carrot
For the same reason, another root vegetable, carrots, will “feel great” in place of potatoes.
Zucchini
This crop shows good growth in a former potato bed.
But there is an important condition: you need to add fertilizer to the soil first.
Onion
Onions also grow well in place of potatoes.
The fact is that crops are “afraid” of various diseases and insects.
Onions will also improve the condition of the soil in the garden bed where potatoes were grown last year.
Legumes
A former potato bed is ideal for growing peas or beans: be prepared to get a very good harvest.
