What kind of fertilizer can “fix” cucumbers growing in the shape of a pear: a note for summer residents

A common situation is when growing cucumbers take on the shape of a pear.

Thus, the fruits on cucumber bushes become thick at the bottom and thin at the stalk.

Often this phenomenon is accompanied by yellowing of cucumbers, as well as changes in leaf blades: they become lighter, “curled” and spotted.

According to the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, such a phenomenon with a high degree of probability indicates a deficiency of one of the most important microelements.

Apparently, the garden crop is experiencing a potassium deficiency.

What kind of fertilizer will help cucumbers?

To return the fruits to their correct shape, you need to use potassium salt.

Prepare and use a solution based on this product: 25-30 grams per bucket of water.

After a few days, you need to water the soil in the cucumber bed with plain water, and also sprinkle it with potassium sulfate: about 50 grams of the product should be applied per square meter.

Unburned wood remains also demonstrate efficiency. A solution should be prepared on their basis: half a liter of ash per bucket of water.

The resulting ash liquid should be used to water the cucumbers at the roots: up to 1 liter of solution for each plant.

It is also important to remember that cucumbers becoming pear-shaped may be a result of improper watering.

Do not use low temperature water for the procedure and do not allow excess moisture.
