These 3 Myths About Watering Are Ruining Your Harvest! Stop Trusting YouTube Bloggers

You pour water every night, but the plants wither? It's all because you believe in myths.

The first is "the more often, the better." Roots accustomed to surface watering do not go deep and die during drought.

The second myth is that “cold water is refreshing.” A sharp temperature change blocks the absorption of nutrients.

The third is "sprinkling is useful during the day." Drops on the leaves turn into lenses, causing burns.

The solution is simple: water once every 5 days, but generously.

Use water warmed by the sun and pour it directly under the roots.

And to retain moisture, mulch the beds with mown grass. In a month, the plants will be strong and the harvest will be juicy.

But there are nuances that are not talked about. For example, in the southern regions with sandy soil, watering is needed more often - once every 3 days. And in clay soil, water stagnates, so add sand to the holes.

To check if it's time to water, stick your finger into the soil to a depth of 5 cm. If it's dry, proceed.

For tomatoes and peppers, use drip irrigation: place bottles with holes near the roots. This will prevent them from drying out in the heat.

And never water in windy weather - moisture evaporates faster than it reaches the roots.

Fun fact: Plants "drink" more at night. Water them after sunset, and they'll have time to get their fill before sunrise.
