The Secret That Will Make Cyclamen Bloom Like Crazy: It's Not Even About Fertilizing

Have you noticed how cyclamens in stores are covered with flowers, but at home they quickly lose their buds?

It's all about one nuance of care that sellers keep silent about. Don't rush to blame yourself - more often than not, the problem lies not in watering or lighting, but in the plant's "menu".

Cyclamen is a true marathon runner of the floral world.

When other plants are resting, it produces new buds for months, spending colossal resources. Without support, even the strongest specimen will begin to save energy: flowers become smaller, leaves turn yellow, and stems droop.

The secret to lush flowering is not just feeding, but the correct balance of elements.

A magic cocktail for alpine violets is azofoska. After dozens of experiments with fertilizers, flower growers discovered that cyclamen "comes to life" precisely from this composition.

The secret is in triple action: nitrogen keeps the leaves juicy, phosphorus strengthens the tuber, and potassium stimulates waves of flowering.

Dissolve ½ teaspoon of granules in 1 liter of water - this is enough for 6-8 waterings. Apply 100-150 ml of solution under the root every 14 days, starting from the end of November.

By January, the plant will have accumulated enough strength to bloom continuously until spring.

A mistake that ruins the tuber: many pour fertilizer "by eye", risking burning the roots. Azofoska is safe only in weak concentrations! If the leaves droop after fertilizing, wash the soil with warm water and do not add nutrients for 2 weeks.

But even ideal feeding will not save if the air in the room is dry. Cyclamen comes from humid forests, where dew drops settle on the leaves. Without 60-70% humidity, it sheds its buds, as if signaling discomfort.

Place bowls with wet expanded clay around the pot, spray the area around the plant daily (avoiding the flowers!) or turn on a humidifier.

Try this method - in just a month the cyclamen will produce new flower stalks, and the old buds will not wither until April.

The main thing is not to miss the moment: as soon as you see the first sprouts, start “feeding” your pet. And then, even in the middle of winter, your windowsill will resemble an alpine meadow!
