Perhaps many summer residents, gardeners and other owners of land plots who love raspberries have encountered one unpleasant problem.
It seems that everything is done correctly when growing, scientifically, as they say, but the harvest is still poor, and the berries are not sweet.
What is important here is that each variety of raspberry has its own level of sweetness of the berries.
But the key factor is still care.
Thus, with excessive or, on the contrary, insufficient feeding and watering, even the sweetest varieties will not live up to expectations.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist and landscape designer, spoke about how to achieve what you want.
She reminded that in the spring, raspberry bushes need to be cleared of cover, and trellises need to be installed for summer raspberries.
Of course, we fertilize and water, loosen the soil under the plants, and mulch.
In order to prevent the penetration of diseases and pests, do not forget about pruning.
Both organic and mineral substances are suitable for fertilizing raspberries.
For example, as a foliar feeding, you can use a mixture of ammonia and liquid soap and spray the bush.
And feeding with dry ash or ash solution will enrich the plant roots with potassium.
If you want an abundant harvest, “treat” the plant with nitrogen and ammonium nitrate-containing fertilizers.
Have you noticed that the leaves have started to turn yellow early? You need to add magnesium.
In the second half of summer, we work more with potassium-phosphorus fertilizers - the berries will be sweeter, and the plant will be more resistant to diseases.
