Today, the most beautiful flower from the USSR era, undeservedly forgotten earlier, is coming back into fashion among summer residents.
Those who plant the plant cannot be overjoyed, and the neighbors with their petunias, whose attractiveness pales in comparison to this flower, are quietly envious.
People in the know say: you can grow a gorgeous flowerbed for pennies, and it will look not only beautiful, but also modern.

Meet the Matricaria
We are talking about a "village" flower called matricaria. People call it "maiden daisy".
Distinguishing features: blooms all summer, requires minimal care, pleases with its soulful, truly homely beauty.
It is an exquisite bush, completely covered with small white daisy flowers.
The leaves are lacy, delicate green, and the stems, although strong, look light and airy.
By the way, there are many varieties of Matricaria. For example, White Star, considered a classic, has white flowers.
Bright yellow foliage, almost golden, is typical of Aureum, and Golden Ball is a plant with fluffy yellow balls of inflorescences.
Features of cultivation
Despite the fact that the "maiden daisy" loves the sun, it also feels good in partial shade.
As for the soil for planting, it should not be marshy or have stagnant water.
Care: only in drought it is necessary to water once every 2-3 weeks and feed with any fertilizer for flowers.
Seeds for seedlings are usually sown in March; in May, the sprouts are transplanted into open ground at a distance of 30 centimeters from each other.
Over the summer, the bushes will grow and “connect”, and we will cut off the faded flowers – and then the matricaria will bloom with renewed vigor.
Florists say that this plant blooms even when many flowers have already faded, and pleases with its color until frost.
