Very soon, you will be able to grow radishes in your garden or buy them in a store. And if you think there are no other options, then be sure to read this article to the end.
Radishes can be grown at home on a windowsill, like any other greens.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", a scientist, agronomist and landscape designer, told how to grow radishes at home.

Here it will not be enough to create suitable conditions.
Is room temperature okay?
No, radishes like coolness, so in a warm room they will begin to stretch.
Therefore, it is recommended to maintain a temperature of no higher than 18-20 degrees Celsius.
After the seedlings appear, the temperature should be reduced to 6-8 degrees Celsius.
When the fruits begin to form, provide conditions within 12-16 degrees, and on cloudy days up to 18.
At night, the temperature needs to be reduced to 8-10 degrees Celsius.
And one more piece of advice: move the container with radishes away from the radiator.
Does radish need lighting?
It is believed that there will be enough natural light when sowing after February 10, but it is recommended to keep the containers on the eastern and western windows.
If there is not enough light, the radish will begin to stretch.
Watering and nutrition
Watering should be moderate, regular, with water at room temperature, followed by loosening the soil.
You can do without additional feeding.
Be sure to choose a container that is at least 35 cm deep.
The soil layer should be from 20 to 25 cm, with an indent of 8-10 cm from the top edge.
Which varieties to choose
It is believed that you can harvest radishes on your windowsill if you purchase the seeds of Zarya, Ranniy Krasny, Kvarta and other varieties suitable for difficult conditions.
