Spring is the time when even the laziest plants wake up from winter hibernation.
But what to do if your favorite ficus or orchid stubbornly refuses to grow, despite watering and fertilizing? The answer is simple: they need to be replanted.
But not the one they write about in gardening textbooks, but a special one that will start the growth processes as if by magic.

You will be surprised, but 90% of gardeners make the same mistakes, because of which plants sit in the same pot for years, wither and refuse to bloom.
The first rule is to forget about calendars. You should replant flowers not when March or April arrives, but when the plant itself gives a signal.
Roots sticking out of drainage holes, slow growth, soil drying out quickly - all these are cries for help.
But even if these signs are not present, replanting every 1-2 years is necessary: the soil becomes depleted, turning into a useless lump.
Choose a pot 2-3 cm wider than the previous one - too spacious will cause the soil to become sour. It is better to take ceramics, not plastic: it "breathes" and protects the roots from overheating.
Now the main secret is the soil. Don't buy a universal mixture from the store! Each plant has its own composition.
For succulents, add sand and perlite to the soil, for orchids - bark and moss, for ficus - leaf humus.
And never compact the soil — the roots need to breathe. Another life hack: water the plant generously an hour before replanting so that the soil ball comes out of the pot easily.
If the roots are tangled into a tight ball, carefully untangle them with your fingers or cut them lengthwise with a knife - this will stimulate the growth of new roots.
After transplantation, do not place the flower in the sun - it needs shade and rest for 3-5 days. Water moderately: damaged roots will not be able to absorb water, and overwatering will lead to rot.
But you can spray the leaves - this will reduce stress. After a week, apply fertilizer, but in half the dose.
And watch: in just a month your pet will produce new leaves, and in two months it will delight you with flowers.
