Many people face the fact that indoor plants start to look bad even if they are properly cared for.

If you analyze your actions, then suspicions fall on the water.

This is quite reasonable. The fact is that in most cases tap water has an increased level of hardness. As a result, plants are harmed.

How can you soften water?

Some gardeners use peat for this purpose. This is a pretty good solution, but one important factor should be taken into account: peat affects acidity levels. Therefore, it cannot be used for all plants.

You can also simply try to settle the water. You need to measure out the required amount of liquid, wait a day, and then water it so that the sediment does not fall into the pot. The method is quite common.

You can bring the water to a boil and cool it to room temperature. It is believed that such a liquid will be deprived of useful qualities, but the water will not be able to harm the plants.

Sometimes a small amount of citric acid is added to the water: this is considered to be a very beneficial solution for flowers.
