Spring is coming, and it may bring with it more than just pleasant surprises.
For example, after the snow melts, many gardeners sadly notice that their lawn needs serious care.
If you want (and you probably do) to bring your lawn back to life, the first thing you should do is stop panicking: a brown and lifeless lawn in the spring is a completely normal phenomenon.
The next thing to do is to find out for sure whether the lawn was killed by frost.
To test, you need to take a sample of the lawn, consisting of roots, soil and everything else, place it in a pot and keep it warm for 1-2 weeks, watering it regularly.

If the lawn comes back to life during this time, everything is fine - it was simply dormant.
This means that we can work on reviving it.
Start by clearing away debris by lightly raking away dead or matted grass, then apply an iron-containing fertilizer.
Important: fertilize only when the ground has thawed and 60 percent or more of the lawn has begun to turn green.
To get rid of dead or dry spots that spoil the overall look of your green front lawn, spot treat.
Restore the soil in these areas and sow a seed mix here to fill in the problem areas.
While waiting for the grass to sprout, water the seeded areas, and when it grows to 7-10 cm, mow the grass.
