Now is a great time of year to get started on creating quality compost.
We have a lot of valuable components of the future fertilizer in stock, so we can’t miss the moment.
What should be added to compost?
Leaves
If they are not affected by diseases, then they can be safely introduced into the compost pit. However, there is one important point with the leaves: it is not recommended to introduce them fresh.
Wait until they change color and send them into the hole.
Flowers
We are accustomed to the fact that healthy remains of vegetable crops are sent to compost, but for some reason we forget about flowers.
But marigolds or calendula will be a wonderful addition to the fertilizer.
Grass
After you have mowed the grass, it is also better to add it to the compost. The fertilizer will only benefit from such a component.
It is known that the use of grass helps the fertilizer become a valuable source of nitrogen.
The component must be introduced correctly. It is best to add the grass in layers, mixing with other components. Also, do not allow the formation of obvious lumps.
