Cats in the garden beds are no longer a nuisance: summer residents were told how to deal with purring pests

For gardeners, cats are the same pests as insects if they end up in the beds. Pets don't care where to make a toilet or where to lie down to bask in the sun.

That's why summer residents are constantly looking for solutions to drive cats out of their gardens.

Here's how experienced farmers solve this problem.

In the summer, cats pose the same threat to plantings in the garden as they do to seedlings in the spring.

They can make a toilet in the garden bed, because the soil there is soft and loose, or simply crush or break the fathoms, basking in the sun and swinging in the dust.

The first way

Cats are repelled by strong smells. Of the plants that emit an unpleasant smell, you can plant lavender, rosemary, coleus canina, marigold, lemon thyme.

The main thing is to keep herbs that attract cats, such as catnip and valerian, away from cultivated plants.

You can protect plants by scattering ground coffee, citrus peels, or rags soaked in wine vinegar on the beds.

These smells will not cause any harm to plants.

The second way

Cats do not like unfamiliar objects and surfaces that are unpleasant to the touch.

If you can scare a cat away from seedlings on a windowsill using tape laid with the sticky side up, then you can use pine cones or thorny branches on the beds.
