Fire beetle
Its distinctive characteristics are its large size and bright color. This is probably why people often try to destroy it when they notice it in their garden.
And this is the main mistake of summer residents, since the fire beetle mainly feeds on caterpillars. What is noteworthy is that the beetle can penetrate even under the bark in search of food.
Ground beetle
Another insect of impressive size, with powerful jaws.
It feeds on caterpillars, slugs and snails: one ground beetle can rid you of 300 pests per season (approximate figures).
To attract ground beetles to your site, it is recommended to make shelters for them using leaves and small piles of stones.
Aphid lion
As the name suggests, this insect keeps aphids in fear – both adults and larvae feed on them.
The aphid lion prefers areas with a large number of flowering plants.
