There is no summer resident who does not have cabbage growing in his garden among other vegetables. Everyone counts on its rich harvest to spend the autumn and winter with vitamins.
Now is the time to fertilize your cabbage bed. It is at the end of June that cabbage begins to form heads.
Summer residents were told what is the best way to feed cabbage.
Why now?
Cabbage, rich in greens and vitamins, needs nutrients, which need to be replenished by the end of June.
Particular attention should be paid to nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Otherwise, the heads will still form, but they will be small and loose.
How to feed cabbage
Summer residents, as always, have a choice. It can be organic or mineral additives.
From organic matter, you can add an infusion of mullein or chicken manure, which is prepared in a ratio of 1:10 (fertilizer/water).
Wood ash is applied under the root. You can prepare a solution for foliar feeding (50 g per 10 l of water).
Of the mineral fertilizers, you can add dry superphosphate at a rate of 20-30 g per 1 sq. m.
Potassium sulfate is also used - 15-20 g per 1 sq. m.
At the same time, you need to hill up the cabbage, which will stimulate the formation of roots.
