The Colorado potato beetle is perhaps the main enemy of potatoes.
Because of the striped insect, many summer residents do not get the most abundant harvest.
There are many preparations against this dangerous pest.
But experienced gardeners recommend using natural products rather than chemicals.
A mixture of vinegar, mustard and laundry soap is incredibly effective.
How to make a remedy against the Colorado potato beetle
You need to take a standard bucket and pour dry mustard into it. Five tablespoons will be enough.
The powder must be poured with water brought to a boil until the container is almost completely filled.
The contents of the bucket must be mixed well. The container should be covered with something.
After exactly 24 hours, add 50 grams of grated laundry soap and 150 milliliters of nine percent vinegar to the resulting liquid.
The prepared mixture must be passed through a filter surface and then poured into a spray bottle.
How to use the product
You need to sprinkle drops of this liquid on the potato bushes.
In addition, it is advisable to water the soil between the rows with it.
The composition will remain effective for 2 weeks: during this time, the Colorado potato beetle will most likely not even come close to the plant.
Once the time has expired, the potato treatment procedure must be repeated. Moreover, the remedy is easy to prepare and consists of readily available ingredients.
