Water more often
If in cool weather tomatoes can be watered once every 3-4 days, then with a significant increase in air temperature the procedure should be carried out more often. Preferably once every two days.
The right amount of water
In hot weather, some gardeners forget about the water requirement for plants.
In some cases, this leads to excess moisture: tomatoes crack, become “watery” and become vulnerable to various diseases.
In other cases, there is too little water, and problems with fruiting arise.
To save the future harvest, follow these rules: for low-growing varieties, one watering can per bush will be enough, medium-growing varieties need two watering cans, and tall varieties need three.
Use warm water
Do not water tomatoes with cold water! Especially during hot weather.
The resulting temperature difference can seriously worsen the condition of the plant.
The temperature of the liquid should be approximately equal to the air temperature.
Watering at the root
