There is no need to invent anything new when growing tomatoes. Experienced gardeners shared tips that will help you get a rich harvest.
The most important thing now is to replant and feed the seedlings on time.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, told how and what to feed tomato seedlings after transplanting them into a greenhouse.
After the seedlings have settled in the garden bed, they need three important feedings.
Stages of feeding
1. The first time fertilizer is applied 10-14 days after transplanting to a permanent location.
2. Then you need to add fertilizers during the flowering period of the bushes.
3. The next time, top dressing is carried out when the ovaries appear.
Finish fertilizing 2 weeks before the start of the main harvest.
How to feed tomatoes
For the first feeding, you can choose fertilizers to your taste.
1. Mineral supplements
The simplest option is 1 tablespoon of nitrophoska per 10 liters of water.
You can also dissolve 25 grams of ammonium nitrate, 40 grams of superphosphate and 15 grams of potassium sulfate in 10 liters of water.
Consumption: 0.5-0.7 liters per plant.
2. Organics
For 10 liters of water, take 0.5 liters of liquid mullein.
Tomatoes are watered with this mixture at the root at a rate of 0.5 l per plant.
3. Folk recipes
Take 10 g of dry yeast and 2 tbsp. sugar per 250 ml of warm water. Mix, let sit in a warm place for 2 hours, and then dilute with 10 liters of water.
