Weeds are a headache for many summer residents and gardeners. They do not give life, damned ones, to plants and to you, their owners.
Among other things, they turn your site into an impenetrable jungle, teeming with all sorts of pests and rodents.
But using chemicals is a blow to the environment, first of all, to your own plants. There is a high risk that chemicals will have a negative impact on crops.
How then to fight against impudent weed aggressors?
Folk remedies
An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh suggests paying attention to folk remedies.
For example, vinegar. We are talking about a 6% water solution of vinegar in a 1 to 1 ratio. Add two more tablespoons of salt.
This mixture, as practice shows, significantly slows down the growth of grass.
Moreover, it is enough to spray just once in order to get rid of annual weeds.
To drive out perennials from the area, the spraying procedure should be carried out several times.
To make the product even more effective, you can add a little liquid soap to the solution.
But it is worth remembering: you should spray only on empty beds or paths, since the bite can destroy the plants you are growing.
Alcohol
Another remedy is alcohol mixed with water. It is sprayed on the soil or even lightly watered.
A weak solution (7-10%) causes active growth of weed seeds. They are removed before the emergence of crop shoots.
By the way, the above mentioned means can be combined, this will provide a greater effect in combating weeds.
Earlier we talked about when it is better to water cucumbers and tomatoes: in the morning or in the evening.
