Spring is the time when summer residents begin to prune trees and treat damage to the bark caused by frost and pests.
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh reminds: wounds left after cutting branches, cutting shoots, etc., cannot be simply left.

Based on mullein
This version of garden var preparation includes the following ingredients: fresh mullein, dry lime, ash and river sand in a ratio of 16:8:8:1.
All components are thoroughly mixed until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Then the freshly prepared mixture is applied to the cut areas in a layer of no more than 0.5 cm. Finally, everything is sprinkled with sifted ash.
Using paraffin
Garden pitch can also be prepared from paraffin, powdered rosin and sunflower oil, taken in a ratio of 6:3:2.
Melt the paraffin, add the rosin and wait until the mixture boils, then pour in the sunflower oil. Cook the mixture for 30 minutes on low heat, then leave to cool at room temperature.
Mash the mixture until smooth and store in a container with a hermetically sealed lid.
